Forget about that groundhog Phil!! Spring will be here before you know it. So, it is time to think about golf. Last season, despite all the social distancing rules, our club had a great season and we expect to have another great season this year.
Lots of things have changed over the past year. Restaurants, holiday get-togethers, weddings, graduations, work, and school, and most sports events at all levels are all different from what we knew them to be. But golf has turned out to be one activity that has survived the pandemic mostly intact.
If you are a golfer and you want to play a course that is beautiful and in great shape and if you want to play a course that is both challenging and accessible, you've come to the right place. There is more. VSICC is a small club. Our members are golfers at all levels. For low-handicap golfers looking for a course that challenges them, check us out. If you just want to go out and play with your friends, there is no better place. Our course layout includes tees that give you options. We have very active and friendly ladies' and men's leagues. Beyond that our tournament schedule is full of events both competitive and social. All events are open to players at all levels.
Joining VSICC gives you access to one of the finest courses in our area. Membership gets you access to the club practice area as part of your membership. The same with our swimming pool. Golf lessons? Talk to our PGA Pro, Bob Kennedy. He'll work with you for a reasonable fee. And, if you want lessons for your kids, check out Bob's kid's camps held during the summer. We don't hide our membership rates and fees. Just click the link at the top of this page or click here and you can see what it will cost you. While you are at it, note that new single or family full members pay half price for the first year. Something you should know: we have not increased our membership charges or other club fees for the last two years nor do we routinely do assessments. We do everything we can to avoid increases or to minimize them when we have to institute them. Compare us to other clubs and you will see that VSICC is a great deal.
One more thing you should know: our restaurant, Max410, is a great place to eat. Mike Fortin and his staff do a great job offering great meals at reasonable prices. So, after a round of golf, enjoy sitting on the deck and having lunch or bring your family in for dinner. Or, as we cope with the current pandemic, order food and pick it up.
